3D printing brings new feel to microbes HD

Google+ reshared post

Lovely 3min video about how 3D-printed bugs can help visually impaired people visualise the microbial world. It’s a great idea feel free to share it 🙂

UK science funders BBSRC and scientists from Oxford Brookes University teamed-up to run Giant Germs – an event tailored specifically to the blind and visually impaired. The day allowed visitors to discover the microscopic world of bugs and germs for the very first time thanks to 3D printing technology.

"Typically I don’t post stuff like this around.. but this broke my brain.. Taking a break from internets for a little while.. Mind you this is the final nail on the coffin for me after surfing B, Imgur, and a bunch of other places.. this just.. finally pushed me over that edge."
